Wounds Australia's 11 Point Plan to fight chronic wounds
Monday, 15 August 2022

Advocating for wound care policy change is a key part of Wounds Australia’s work. Improving the quality and efficacy of wound care in Australia won’t be easy, but our 11 Point Plan maps out ways the Federal Government can reduce patient numbers and costs by:

  • raising awareness of risks, warning signs and treatments
  • enhancing the skills of health and aged care workers
  • driving changes to health policy.

We identified 11 simple, affordable reforms that allow policy commitments to be quickly fulfilled. Six points deliver directly on our goals for Federal and State health policy, and five support recommendations from the Aged Care Royal Commission.
