Wounds Australia was pleased to meet with The Hon Mark Butler MP, Minister for Health and Aged Care – pictured here with our Chair Hayley Ryan – this Wound Awareness Week. Minister Butler understands the scale of the challenge to prevent and heal chronic wounds and, in our meeting, engaged with our comprehensive 11 Point Plan to reduce the costs and improve the quality of wound care in Australia. Wounds Australia is already working with the Minister’s office and the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care on next steps. Watch this space for more news!
