We run a range of different events throughout the year that are hosted by leading wound specialists from all over Australia. We offer both face-to-face events across Australia and webinars you can access through the internet.

Our events are open to both non-members and members of Wounds Australia, although members do receive a generous discount. When attending our events, individuals also attain continued professional development hours which are awarded after the event has taken place and registration has been confirmed.

NSW Education Evening: Dealing With Dilemmas

Delegates will receive an interactive education evening containing four sessions with information helpful in clinical practice. The first session providing information that is useful to clinicians when conducting comprehensive assessments to determine a diagnosis. The second session will help trouble shoot appropriate wound management and the dilemmas of dressing selection for wounds issue types. Guidance will be given on the importance of understanding our patient journey living with a painful wound and the problems of pain management as a clinician. The selection of compression systems can be difficult to navigate and the importance of choosing the right system and level of compression is important for healing and maintenance therapy.

Stepladders To Success - Victorian State Conference

Attendees to this 1.5 day conference will leave with skills to support patients and clients through their wound journey through assessment and motivation, aspects of dermatology, vascular assessment and intervention, plastic and general surgery, nutritional and oedema considerations, achieving success in pressure injury management, burns and palliative/oncological issues. The overall goal is to encourage participants to ask questions and get involved— it is our aim to provide delegates with new skill sets to help them climb the ladder of success.
