Journal - Wound Practice and Research

Wound Practice and Research is the official journal of Wounds Australia. It is gaining a strong reputation as a source of reference for researchers and clinicians in the field of wound management and can be found in most medical or nursing tertiary libraries in Australia and New Zealand. It is also indexed with CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature).

As a member of Wounds Australia you will receive our journal through the post on a quarterly basis. Our journal publishes research papers, clinical studies, case studies and letters to the editor. We also regularly publish peer-reviewed papers on a number of topics such as:

  • The science of wound healing
  • The aetiology of wounds
  • The care of acute and chronic wounds
  • Wound research
  • Wound care in the community
  • Quality of life issues

Other regular features of the journal are editorials, book reviews, and evidence summaries from the wound healing and management node of the Joanna Briggs Institute.

The Editorial Board of Wound Practice and Research are recognised national and international experts in their own fields and represent a range of professional groups from around the world. The Board is multidisciplinary and has representatives from the disciplines of medicine, nursing, allied health and scientific research.
